To be a Carnival photographer is not merely an occupation, it is a privilege bestowed. I am entrusted with an instrument of light, not simply to make photographs, but to preserve the fleeting heartbeat of joy itself. Through my lens, I stand immersed in a sea of laughter, rhythm, color, and liberation, bathing in the euphoria that only Carnival can awaken.
I bear witness as culture dances unapologetically before me, as freedom adorns itself in feathers, paint, oil, and movement. My task is to gather these moments before they dissolve into memory and send them beyond the fetes, allowing the world to glimpse the beauty of a people celebrating life without restraint. This responsibility is sacred to me. I do not carry it lightly.
For Carnival is more than a festival. It is remembrance. It is resistance. It is communion. It is joy made visible.
We are Carnival. We are free.
